About Us

The Team

CMEC is a young company that was started in 2006 and has now specialised in producing young horses for competition. Our resident Rider Oliver Walter is an up and coming dressage rider who is having a successful time in the competition circuit. Oliver has trained in Holland and in the UK and has great experience and success with youngsters that come into us either unbroken or just backed. We also run regular affiliated shows on site which is always an added bonus when producing a youngster for competition. The rest of the team are all professionals who offer a wealth of experience and back up support to make things run smoothly.

Sponsors

Oliver currently has three sponsors Rowan Barberry Feeds, Chestfields and Intelligent Worming. With their generous support we are able to keep the horses in top condition from having a well balanced diet a well managed worming programme and the use of environmentally friendly grooming and stable products that keep the horses looking at their best. How We Work

All of our competition horses and horses for sale are managed in the same way. They thrive on the routine and we believe that the best results are achieved through this. All of the horses have a well balanced diet and with regular turnout and a structured exercise and schooling programme that includes a variety of schooling, hacking and lungeing plus for some regular work programmes on the treadmill. From this they are all relaxed and happy which is the key to success whether competing or pleasure riding.

Trying Horses
We encourage all buyers to try any horse they are interested in without obligation, and we provide excellent facilities for doing so. We have two outdoor schools an indoor school and a full set of show jumps, a cross country course, excellent hacking in bridal paths and woods and a stretch of road with good visibility where a horse's behaviour in traffic can be assessed.

Vetting
You are strongly advised to have an independent veterinary exam before purchase.

Reserves/Deposits
If you wish to reserve a horse (which means we won't sell him to anyone else), a deposit of £200 CASH is required. We have been forced to introduce this as a result of the many people who put in "firm" offers but then change their minds weeks later, resulting in lost time and money. The reserve deposit is refundable if the horse fails a vet inspection. PLEASE NOTE: a deposit is valid for ONE WEEK ONLY. We have new buyers looking for horses at all times, and we cannot hold horses longer than a week.

Part Exchanges
We occasionally do part exchanges.

Trials

We do sometimes offer a trial period depending on individual circumstances.

Returns
Once a horse passes its vet's exam, we regard the horse as sold, and we have no legal obligation to take it back. However, we do not want a customer to have a horse that doesn't suit them, so we will always try to exchange an unsuitable horse for one of equivalent value. The horse must be returned within one month of the date of sale. No refunds are given.

Descriptions
Descriptions given on our horses are based on a proper assessment by trained staff, and represent their opinion on behaviour and ability.
